At the Traverse City District Competition, Team 85, allied with Team 830 (The Rat Pack) and Team 2586 (The Copper Bots), faced a difficult semi-final match-up before being eliminated. The highlight of the event was receiving The Chairman's Award for the first time in the history of the team. This prestigious award was dedicated to Mr. Steve Yasick, a man who helped make the team what it is today (click here to learn more about Mr. Yasick). At the West Michigan District Competition, Team 85 was allies with Teams 141 (Wo-Bot) and 904 (D Cubed) during the tournament before being eliminated in the quarter-finals. At the Championships in Georgia, the team placed 11th in the division after 10 qualifying matches. Team 85 played some tough defense against the number one ranked alliance before being eliminated in the quarter-final rounds.
