The West Michigan Regional Invitational (WMRI) is an off-season FIRST competiton in which about 25 teams are able to compete using the robot from the previous season. Because it takes palce in October, new students are able to get experience with what will take place after the build season. The WMRI is also the perfect opportunity to bring others new to FIRST, such as sponsors and community members, to see what takes place.
